It will be a lot easier just to get another one, but who am I to talk? Got too many guns I am bringing back from sporterising worse than this as it is. If you enjoy fixing them, or have some sentimental value to the gun then there is no reason not to spend the time and money bringing it back. You won't get the money back, and it won't be easy, but it might be fun.

Even if you keep it a sporter you have to get rid of that shiny stuff on the wood ASAP
