    Vickers Belt Box repaint

    Hi

I am looking to repaint this belt box, and wonder if someone could tell me what colour I should use, and where I might find some in the UKicon.
Also does any one make the stencils so I can also remark it?

    Thanks

Would the same color ( US member) be used for the Bren mag boxes? Looking forward to you getting your answer.

    Hi Boris,
These guys do a great selection of Military paints in tins or sprays. Once you have the container stripped and ready to paint I would advise:

    OLIVE DRAB BS 381-298
    Finish: MATT

Which you can buy direct from: Industrial Paints | Welding Safety | Lowest Prices | Free Delivery
Unless you have the same rivets, I would carefully spray or paint around them and leave them in situ IMHO. They also do a service that if you send them a chip of the original paint they will match it up for you, but I would say the Olive Drab is about right.

    Hi
Thanks Gil Boyd for the advise on the paint supplier, I have a number of other projects on the go so will give them a try.

For now with this box I have used a product called Antiquax on the recommendation of member Flying10uk, its good stuff and certainly makes a difference on paint and metal.
