    Schmidt Rubin 1896/11

I'm currently new to Swissicon rifles and this one is needing a few parts. Is the Schmidt Rubin 1896 and 1911 parts interchangeable with an 1896/11? Parts to finish this rifle include a magazine, rear sight assembly, front action screw, rear barrel band and screw, and the rear sling swivel. If anyone knows where I can find these parts in stock or know someone that has these parts let me know. Thank you.

That stock is missing the "knob" for your hand behind the trigger guard. Can't tell from the photo if it was there and now missing or if it is an unaltered 1886 stock. Parts for these are tough and magazines very expensive. Ebay and patience often your best bet.

Scroll down this page and look at the 1889 and 1889/96 bolt, it will tell you what model you have. Odds are it is a 1889, and likely will not be worth bringing back to original configuration.
