Huge amount of WW2 relics recovered - WW2 Treasure Hunters TV show

    Hi all

Thought I'd share the relics recovered during the filming of episode 3, season 2, WW2 Treasure Hunters. We were searching an old ordnance depot in Weedon, UKicon, and recovered a huge quantity of WW2 relics.

There are a LOT of pictures, too many for the forum, but I have posted a group shot below and a link to the blog where you can view all the finds.

It's actually lots of parts laid together to look like a complete (bent) one.

How does Englandicon treat old ammo? Does it have to be surrendered to authorities?

Certainly does if found, it has to be turned in, unless its on your certificate and it comes from a legally recognised source.

Re the old ammo, the parts are a different matter.

The barrels are considered 'live' until they have been deactivated, same for any pressure bearing parts.

You can argue deactivated by any other means.

But in this rabid anti gun culture....
