Your going to need to get a gunsmith to drill and tap the side of your action for a Redfield style rear sight mount and also have him drill and tap the front of the barrel for a front sight dove tail block.

There are also band type front sight mounts and if this the way you go you'll need the gunsmith to turn down the muzzle to the proper diameter for the band.

Holes in my experience are around $18 each.

There are also iron sight/scope rail combo's that can be had that just screw into your existing scope mount holes in the reciever. I have one of these on one of my Remington 700 LR rifle and I love it.

Champion's Choice stocks all the rear mounts and front blocks plus a few different types of sights. They also stock the combo mounts.

    jj:

Here's a link to a Precision Shooting article about converting the Winchester M70 to a HP match rifle. Should be some good info here for you.........

Oh, by the way, older M70s were already drilled and tapped for Redfield type sights, AND, if you have a fiberglass HS Precision stock on your Black Shadow, HS Precision can install a handstop rail in the stock. They charged 80 bucks a few years ago.......
