    Italian and Swiss WWII Canteens

    Added a couple of canteens to my collection last night. The first is an Italianicon:









    The second is a Swissicon in pre 1943 paint. After 1943 they were more of a blue/grey

    We still used it in the nineties. Just the cover was in more modern materials.

    Mmmmh, just checked a few pictures. Difficult to say now, but maybe ours were just a bit different. I’m not sure anymore.

    Italianicon canteen arrived today. Looks to be in great condition. One wear spot through the fabric on the bottom back. No marks that I can find.
