    commercial versus military actions

ive always been under the impression that the standard x57 model mauser actions have been the same thing. Just different barrel styles.

Was looking at loading data on the alliant site and got confused with separate data for commercial and military actions for 6.5 Swedishicon.

And with a few companies making rifles in 6.5x55 these days, is military loads acceptable for the modern stuff?

Most 6.5mm rifles are not M98's but rather M96's. The military 6.5's are now around 100 years old and getting older. The M98 is stronger then the M96, but there isn't much difference between the two. Certainly a modern commercial M98 would be stronger then an M96.
