Thanks for posting that pic. It is very interesting to me as my Father told a story that relates. The 11th Airborne landed in Japan to secure the area before MacArthur got there to sign the Peace Treaty. They were met at the Airport by Japanese military in trucks. Not the best. On the way into Tokyo the truck in which my Father was in broke down. The driver ran thinking he was going to be blamed. My Father was an Officer but he went under the hood and worked on the engine and got it running. My dad was the Manager of a gas station in Red Wing, Minn. at the start of the War. He then drove the truck the rest of the way into Tokyo. I don't believe that this is a pic of Him, but every time I see it, I think of the story. Thanks for posting it.
