Thanks! I didn't take sandpaper and oven cleaner to it or anything.

I just used plastic pics and brushes with a bit of Ballistol and some swabs to clean grime out of the sights and some of the nooks and crannies around the bolt and other metal pieces, then wiped all the metal down with an oiled cloth. It had been in storage for a long time and was really dusty/dry. I thought the bore on it was bad when I got it ... seems to have been dust and copper/lead fouling. It has a mirror bore after a few runs of bore cleaner and the bore snake.

I have to admit ... I did wipe off the yellow remnant of the range table on the stock. It was pretty much just dry yellow powder. Looked like just adhesive residue.
