Greetings all,

I have decided to restore a CE 43 Germanicon model 98 Mauser that was sporterized some time back in the 1960’s. I absolutely need to do right by this old historical rifle. Right now, I’m in search of information and sources for parts such as the cupped butt cap, front and rear barrel bands, cleaning rod, front site hood, and hand guard. Fortunately I have already found a suitable surplus stock for the rifle with correct German markings for the period. Any tips or tricks to restoring a rifle such as this? Pics can be found on the thread I had previously posted at https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=67349&page=1

Thanks and kind regards,
Max
