Accuray test
Maj Reynolds (Lee Enfield Rifle page 170) has a detail description of the accuracy testing done on the Enfield No. 4 (T) conversions. Was this continued at H & H? If not, what accuracy testing was done?

At first H&H would accuracy test the rifles but very soon ceased doing so. If they came in from BSA, then when refitted with the same fore-ends and handguards, they went OUT accurate too. If the backsight was changed, the rifle was STILL accurate BUT out of zero. In those cases, the rifle was zeroed using the optical 'layer'.
