    Type 99 manufacture date

For the life of me, I cannot figure out the manufacture dates on Japanese rifles. Their serial numbers completely baffle me.
My wife bought me this Nagoya Arisakaicon Type 99 for my birthday several years ago and I have done some internet research on the rifle. Then it sat in the safe for years but now I am curious to know the date of manufacture. I tried to look up the reference material on this website but everything is no longer available.
Hopefully, if I show some pictures maybe some of you kind gentleman could help with a date of manufacture.
Sorry about the crappy pictures. I don't like using white as a background but the lighting in my house really sucks.

Your rifle was likely made in 1939.

The arsenal mark is Nagoya. There is no Kana (series number) so it is series 0. It was likely made in 1941 (google arisaka date manaufacture -images) and you will find a chart with dates of manufacture).

That's just what I did and came up with www.oldmilitarymarkings.com who's chart show that no-series Nagoya Type 99's were produced from 1939-1945 with a s/n range of 0-99999. The op's rifle has a 4 digit s/n in the 3xxx range so based on the information available it was almost certainly made in 1939.
When dealing with non dated Japaneseicon items and a lack of detailed production records a best guess estimate based on a fairly consistent monthly or yearly production figures is about as close as one can come.
