While talking with my partner in crime last night he told me on of your Canadian icon

Solders made a confirmed kill in Afghanistan that was in excess of 2,000 meters! Could anybody out there share any details of this event? -SDH

The sniper was from PPCLI and involved a .50 cal. Don't remember all the details, but he's the world record holder - defeated a Vietnam era American as I recall.

Sounds like he beat Carlos Hatcocks record, I don't recall what it was, its been years since I read the book, but, that is a feat that I just can't comprehend. I've shot 600 yards and struggled. That distance is incredible.-SDH

I stand corrected, 2,430 "METERS" that is totally incredible! I've always had the highest regard for the Canadian icon
