I can't get my head around the notion that some people claim it never happened.

My family was on vacation and had spent the day in Carlsbad caverns then ate dinner and returned to our motel room to watch the landing . I remember how distressed I was at the room's poor reception . I was 12 at the time .

We were living in a caravan because my parents had sold our house and hadn't bought anywhere else yet so had no television at the time and we missed the whole event.

I remember after the moon landings being glued to the television, in the mid 1970's, for what seemed like hours, as a child, waiting for Americans and Russians to open a hatch between 2 spacecraft so that they could meet in space for the first time.
