1951 Sniper Pamphlet
I happen to be reading my latest literary addition on the train home this evening, the 1951 Infantry Training volume 1 Infantry Platoon Weapons Pamphlet No. 10 and was rather surprised by caption of the third picture of the frontispiece:
Attachment 102615
I’m glad they have cleared up identification of the No32 Mk2 Vs Mk3 I had been labouring under a misapprehension.

We had the originals for that handbook and a zillion others and the photo is upside down. So it would have been correct as first envisaged but the printer rotated the photo so the bottom scope became the top.

I assumed something like that, I imagine whoever got that back from the printers must have been a tad ****ed off if they noticed.

There was a little paste-over amendment for the caption as I recall. But, as they say in all the polite circles, xhit happens
