In the video it seems like an excellent state of affairs that a soldier in the US army, on the front line, can come up with a practical suggestion to solve a problem, take it to a fully equipped workshop and in no time a fully functioning prototype has been produced.
When I say improved, that’s what the US call it when they weld the 2 sides of the pivot. The one you have has obviously broken so not an improved version lol.
I don't think that it is broken but there is just a part missing that you could probably put back on if you had one. The reason why I asked for pricing is because I never saw any of them for sale. I thought I would ask the guys that know more about them than I do. Is there a link you can send me to see the pricing?
From what I’ve read, there is a role pin that should hold the bipod to the missing part. As this part allows the gun to be swivelled on the bipod, this role pin is the week point and shears, separating the 2. The US answer was to weld either side of the pivot preventing the swivelling action. Hence the above video showing one chaps answer, giving that ability back to the user.
