    redfield correct scope rings, but............how???

Hello, H-e-l-l-ooooo, I have the M84 scope, an correct vertical rings screw placement, but how in the heck can I install the rings on the scope when the objective an eyepiece is solid on the m84. HOW much can the rings be spread to except the scope?? I don't want to ruin the rings, but I need to know if spreading them that far to fit the scope main tube will wreck the rings or crack/crease/misalign the rings...........how are you guys doing that????........sonnyboy

You have the wrong style rings for the M84. You need Redfield 7/8" two piece rings, not the one piece rings that you now have. The two piece rings have a top half & a bottom half, so the M84 is easily mounted by taking the halves apart with a screwdriver.

Yes, you can pry the one piece rings apart with hand tools & a lot of strength, but that will ruin the rings, & won't look right when mounted on your rifle.
