    Springfield Tang shims

Hi,does anyone have a source for the original Springfield tang shims?

Failing that, if someone has one, could they possibly give me the measurements?

Not aware of originals, but unit armorers did make and install many (should be legal, but theyre not). Easy to make, use a strip of paper laid in the inlet and press it in the impression with the pencil eraser. Remove and trim for a template then transfer to correct thickness hardwood shim. Note, punch hole first, then trim the rest, they split otherwise. Glue in place an stain/BLOicon inlet.

I can quite understand if you want to keep them, rare things these days, but I would appreciate the measurements when you get a chance (including depth) so I can make a couple.
