Mossberg Model 44 US Serial Number:

I have Mossberg Model 44 US 22 rifle. The serial Number has been grinded off. The new one is NWSCO653. I brought it off of CMP years ago. Can someone help me about the serila number.

Suggest you contact the CMP and ask. Mind you, prior to 1968 .22's were not required to have a S/N.
It have the U.S. Property stamp?
