Did SG gets parts from S'G' ???

    Gentlemen:

Saw a carbine on GB (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=125684625) listed as an "early Saginaw". Noticed that some of the parts are identified as S'G'. I've read on this board where there was serial number swapping between the two manufacturers (at the Friday night card game?), but I was wondering whether this is a truly original carbine, or pieced together with SG and S'G' pieces.

The answer is yes and no. Saginaw SG got parts from Saginaw S'G', but only after the end of the S'G' contract. So only the late SGs would have had a bunch of S'G' parts, not the early ones.

Parts came from all over. None of the original makers made all of the parts for the carbines they made.

    Sunray,
It's true that some parts came from different places but they didn't come from all over indiscriminately.
