Some interesting archive footage here of B17 Flying Fortresses. It would be interesting to know which airfield it is featured in the film but it could be one of many East Anglian wartime airfields.

Apart from being on the receiving end of German bombs, one of the other noteworthy things that my parents remember seeing and hearing during the war is the British and American bombers going out and coming back from bombing raids.
