    STEVENS 416 US PROPERTY QUESTION

The .22 trainers have been following me home lately and I acquired a very clean Stevens 416. It has the scope blocks for the Malcom type scope. I have seen Weaver to block conversions but not block to Weaver. I have a good Weaver k-10 scope which has the length to span the distance between the blocks and look appropriate on the rifle without
alterations and the accompanying decrease in value. Has anyone tried this or know if it is doable?

    Thanks

    Stevens 416 22RF rifle

I have a Stevens 416 and mine came with a Lyman 438 scope which fit the scope blocks on my rifle. I am going to mount a Lyman Super Target 12X scope for 50 yard targets.

I know the Redfield 3200 scope mounts are too large and require larger wider scope blocks.

If you can find someway to mount your Weaver without any alteration it should work out, but I think the Lyman scopes & mounts are a nice match

There is a way to adjust your trigger pull by removing the bolt as there is a small screw under the bolt for adjustment. Attachment 105197Attachment 105198Attachment 105199

Yours is in nice shape as is mine. Hard to imagine how they lasted this long in this good a condition. No luck thus far with weaver mounts though I
went down a couple of promising rabbit holes searching the internet. Might go the Hi-lux repro option as a backup plan.

I believe most of these Stevens 416 rifles were made in 1943 ?
