I recently picked up a selection of milsurp and other firearms from an estate auction....a pool table full to be precise. Had to silent bid the guns in lot by table. The estate had sorted the guns odd....high grade/nice rifles on a table as a single lot....nice shotguns a separate lot...nice handguns etc. The pool table had scratch and dents...rusty guns cheap grade guns and milsurps from .22 rifles to 12ga shotguns....I just thought it a weird way to sell out a collection.
Anyhow...I've been cleaning and inspecting my 'haul' of guns. The Yugo M48A is a 'B' pattern with sheet metal mag box/floorplate milled rear band and welded sheet metal front band. Seems to be a nice matching # Yugo. My question concerns the bolt serial #. The bolt has a normal size font three digit number on the bottom side of the handle. Then it has the last 3 digits of serial number(that matches) stamped small on the bolt root top flat. I thought the M48 bolts had the serial numbers stamped on top the handle between the bolt root and knob. Does my bolt sound like a re-numbered bolt?
