At least there is toilet paper.

For a while here stores wouldn't take back the cans which have a .10 deposit on them. Wife said they just recently started allowing returns but at a limited number at a time.
That's a State deposit BTW, @ current our garage is near over flowed with beer and soda cans. State made out big time on this regulation. Such a pain in the rear to return a paper bag full at a time. I'm going to donate them to the local boy scouts.

    What a scam.........

They still don't take returns here in many places, I think you have to go the big recycling depots. I keep what I have anyway for the first kid coming by on Saturday morning asking for donations for his (Whatever) team.

Is there? I haven't checked lately. We are actually down to the pack my wife was yelling at me for buying. Way back when we thought this would last two months at the most. I think we'll be OK but we need to keep an eye out for our brand and type. These packages have lasted us a long time.

Now there are coin shortages and a lot of places stopped taking cash which is upsetting a lot of people. I only use cash for flea markets, yards sales and gun shows so I really haven't been inconvenienced. As with everything else that happens in the US, the conspiracy theorists are out and about. Using the pandemic as an excuse to go cashless, etc.

I still am using what we had when people were buying flat trolleys full out of Costco. Not even close to out. I still don't know what that was all about.

I remember looking at all the cards being used years ago and youth not carrying cash thinking, "I'll be the last guy using cash". I wasn't going to do debit until there was no choice. Well, we're here. I carry cash but don't care now. I do debit and use the automated cashiers just like most use cash machines. It's going to be the way and there will be no choice, so I figured better to learn now than be a REALLY old guy that can't adjust. I still carry cash though...

I have been a bit around the past three days.
Went to the mountains between Modena and Florence with the guys from my course at Officer's School. We had a great time. 20 of us plus a few with family.
I rode down with my Guzzi. We had a great dinner (very few inconveniences due to face protection etc) on Saturday. On Sunday we went to a small church up a mountain, built by the Alpini and had a short pause, with a few prayers and traditional Alpini songs, before going to a hut at the top of another mountain and having another great lunch (again, pretty free).
I then rode in the late afternoon/evening to my parents on the mountains over the Cinque Terre to see them after the long lock-down and, yesterday, rode back home. Again only normal roads, mountain passes, etc.
Many things look normal, but there is an eerie feeling with some people. Something just isn't right yet, and I'm starting to wonder if it ever will be again.
Too much panic first, fear now. And, again and continuously, chaotic information.
Today I'll drive to Switzerlandicon for business (things seem to be quite easy there, let's see). Next week to Germanyicon, to a big meat processing plant, in the smack center of the Covid-infested areas in the North-West.
Let's see how that will look like...
Anyway... no problems here with toilet paper;-D

As of last week. Lot and lots. Even the bulk packs. Virtually no ammo however. Just heard about the "no cash" policy. Trying times.

OK , I just have to ask , how is a roll of toilet paper a suitable substitute for a can for holding soda or beer ?
