Hi all,
Here is a before and after pic of my latest project. A restoration of a fairly un-exciting sporter No4 made in October 1943 at ROF Fazakerley. Interestingly, it did not have the "Surrey" stamp I've come to expect in these Britishicon sporterized No4s imported to Canadaicon. I guess it was a DIY job.

I had a lot of difficulty getting the pins for the forearm nosecap right and it may not be as close a fit as is required. The result seems to be a tight barrel/wood fit. The barrel has the correct downward pressure at the end, but no movement up is possible due to the close fit of the upper forward wood. Is this a problem that needs fixing? (I've not taken it to the range yet to see if it shoots OK)

Thanks in advance,
Burton
