    Gew 88/05 with '1907' marking

This is a Gew 88/05 made by Steyr in 1890 that I'm considering. It has an interesting stamp of '1907' below '1890'. I don't think I've ever seen this, and can find no reference to it. Possibly the year it was reworked?

Maybe someone renumbered the bolt and placed that on there as the serial number?

Otherwise I have no idea, very odd especially on a 88/05.
