What is it quiz #2 by Steve762

Item #2. We all know what this item is. The question is why would a rifle shooter want this item in his range bag?

Allows you to see the sights on those backwards over-the-shoulder shots .

    Answer:
Use #1: Dental mirror is a great way to check the throat of a barrel. It is a requirement for arms that do not allow for looking straight up the barrel because the receiver is in the way ie M1, M14/M1Aicon, Carbine, assembled M16/M4/AR15's even pistols and revolvers. Allows for close inspection and can be rotated to look at any area of the chamber and the first half or so of the barrel.

Use#2: Bore sighting. Makes bore sighting a new scope installation a simple task.

Sorry for poor focus in attached pic.
