Just bought this early '43 SC

Hey all- Just bought this SC 03A3 and thought I'd share it with you guys. It's not "correct" because with the little bit of knowledge I've gleaned from you all so far by stalking the forum, I know it has a Remington bolt and I believe bolt sleeve. But, I'd love to get your inputs on it. It's a beautiful rifle, and it has a 6-groove barrel, which I understand is less common than the 4-grooves. Anyway, please tell me a bit about my newest milsurp and first 03A3. Oh, and the stock has been sanded. The FJA is pretty faint. No OG stamp on the stock. Thanks!

Except for the bolt assembly, and from what I can see, your rifle appears correct and original. The stock has some extra markings in it that appear to be rack markings. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks gents! I'll have to get some better pics of it outside, in some natural light. Maybe tomorrow. Really is a beautiful piece. I may go run some rounds through it tomorrow as well.

Bayonet band might be a Remington, too. Good looking rifle, for sure!

Thanks again. I paid pretty high dollar because it belonged to my neighbor and she is a great neighbor and a great lady. So, I wanted to make sure I was being extra fair. I paid $850 for it. It was originally her father's, but she doesn't know the history behind it.

Here are a couple pics from outside, where the lighting was better. Sorry, I'm no photographer...

Also, I'm looking for a correct Smith Corona bolt for this rifle, not that there is anything wrong with he Remington bolt assembly, but I am kind of anal and would like to have the rifle correct. Would an unmarked bolt, or one with the "X" on the root of the bolt handle be correct for this early a SC?
