    Hunting ammo for 7.62x54r?

    Any hunting type ammo for my mosin available in canada, I have only found the FMJ surplus stuff and two brands in america only.
    Any one?

    There is some Sellier & Bellot 180 gr around also. Its mostly in Ontario I think, can't find any in Quebec. No online dealers that I can find.

    I've been shooting some of the Prima Partisan stuff and its not bad at all, but, I don't trust the non-corrosive clause and clean my guns accordingly.SDH

    Years ago my Dad would just pull the FMJ bullets from milsurp ammo and replace them with similar weight SP's. Re-used the original powder, too.

    The whitetails didn't seem to notice it was corrosive.

    Yeah, but sadly, around that time, soft-point hunting ammo sucked almost as bad as FMJ!

    Bullets didn't really start to get decent till Nosler came along and forced the Dominions and Federemchesters of the world to design halfway decent hunting bullets
