This rifle was given to me as payment for helping a friend clean out the attic of his sporting goods store. That was about 15 years ago and the business had been in the family for 75 years at that time. I found it in a crate with approximately 20 other long arms of various types. The serial number and barrel both dating to 1919. Straight bolt and smooth trigger. There are very few stamps or marks on the rifle. There are flaming shells on the forward receiver ring and at the muzzle both with punch marks. There are no inspectors marks on the stock which has a glossy finish. The muzzle measures zero with my CMPicon gauge. To me it appears to not has been fired. Is this just a nice rifle or is there something I cant figure out . Other pictures can be added. Thanks
