M1903a3 Authentication Assistance
I am interested in thoughts as to the authenticity of a 1903a3 Remington.
I have attached pictures.
This is the description:
30.06; 95% blue, excellent bore, very good+ stock, 24'' barrel, Remington manufacture Excellent RA 9-43 2 groove barrel, muzzle gauges 0. VG original metal finish. Correct ''R'' marked parts. VG RA marked stock with Ordnance wheel and FJA cartouche. With brown leather sling ., s/n 38054xx.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!
Regards,
Art Masoero

Looks like a very nice Remington M1903-A3. Of course, whether it is a good buy or not depends on the total price.

The rifle has a few replacement parts, but appears to be mostly original. The bolt is a non-Remington replacement.
Good Luck! And stay safe.
