sreisel: Where does he get it all?

Love him or hate him, you have to admit sreisel aka "The Grey Blanket" has a lot of stuff. He/they are a pretty high volume seller nowadays but he also comes up with some notable items on a pretty consistent basis.
Where on earth does it all come from?

Not to answer my own question but I've heard nebulous rumors that he cruises gun shows in his part of the US and buys up stuff wholesale and I've also definitely "caught" or noticed him buying items off of the various forums and reselling them. Its kind of interesting to see him win some and lose some if you saw where the item came from. I also think I might have recognized a few things from major auction houses that he was reselling, but I still wonder where he gets it all and in such volume.

He clearly didn't expect that high current total having started it at $9.99???

A sling for about half the price of a carbine itself!

Nah, if that's not sarcasm that's just how no reserve low starting price auctions go. For some reason they work really well and they totally get buyers more hyped up and excited than if it just was a decent price to start with. I'm sure he at least, has come to expect that by now.

Yep it happens too often. I bought 100 slings from a Military museum with thoughts of selling enough to cover the costs and keeping the rest.
But once you have them..... Why sell them ?
    I just can't do it !!

Regretfully, I've fallen victim to the exact opposite problem: Selling things that I was supposed to be hanging onto! - Like my M3 Trench Knife and a 5.41M Inland that was probably the nicest Carbine I've ever owned. Someone had checkered the stock on that one, and Charlie Painter told me to just, "wrap some duct tape around it" so I wouldn't have to look at it. I ended up repairing it by using tips I learned from him and Frank D. I'm sorry now that it's gone, but at least it's in the hands of a guy that will take excellent care of it. - Bob

Reselling is a talent I've never had and never will. Anything I've ever bought is either "forever" or sold at a serious loss. Hat's off to whomever has that ability!

    Auction- Just over 1-1/2hr left it's @ $263.00...

I may have to learn to share, I have them 16 to 18 in a box, IIRC 12 or 13 boxes :
I used to buy.. I guess just to buy if I wasn't near a carbine deal, same with Mags, back when they were both much cheaper to score.

Haha, but if you sold any you wouldn't make as much money as he has! For whatever reason, his items nearly always go *very* high
