It remained in stock, unsold until the patent was granted and then it was remarked as such.

I remember when that was all the rage in Hollywood and all the actors had guns so they could draw against each other...stories of guys like Sammy Davis Jr stepping into the hotel hallway to draw down against Jerry Lewis... Shootist | The New Yorker

That is very cool. I had the great fortune to grow up Sturgeon fishing and hunting with the ojalas as a child. Arvo was the nicest man. And i was totally in love with his daughters Inga and Kym who were a couple years older than me. I remember Arvo giving my dad quick draw lessons and telling us how he is the man at the other end of the street on Gunsmoke and he could have killed James Arness three times before he could have pulled his gun. My Father and him spoke Finnish all the time when we were fishing. Great guy and awesome holsters. Very nice example.

A Grandson of Arvo's had a table at one of the Portland gun shows several years ago. He had a lot of interesting items on display. I talked with him for several minutes, and bought a chrome plated "dummy" 45 Colt round from him as a memento - at least I think it's a dummy, but you can't tell it by looking at the primer. I had this old clipping from a Sunday newspaper supplement in my safe, so decided to scan and post it here. The Grandson was the nicest person I talked with at the show that day - apparently a common trait of that family! - Bob
