No , there are several good ones . My .45 M3 and M3A1s with Ciener cans are quieter being fired than being dry fired . The brass case keeps the bolt from hitting the rear of the barrel , quieting it more than the muzzle blast increases it . The first time I fired mine , I thought the mag was not all the way in and the gun didn't feed a round . then came the sound of the bullet going through the cardboard , then the brass case bouncing off the concrete . I thought " Nooooo " , but the bolt was locked back . Several of my .22s in pistol and 4-1/2 AR15 mode as well as 9" 3oo Black out with 220 grain subs are not much louder .
