    Russian Medic Bag

If you watch the first video the 2nd one is quite amusing.

I was actually looking for a full translation of the Sovieticon Communist Party membership book and came up with the above. There only appears to be a translation of the front cover available. What we need is an ex Communist Party member of the Soviet Union who speaks good English and also happens to be a militaria/Soviet history enthusiast and who also doesn't mind sharing his/her knowledge.

Whilst looking at the 2nd video which was the first one that I watched I was amused by Stan's description of the assistant in the chemist shop but got side tracked myself by the medic's bag. I wouldn't mind purchasing one of those bags myself at that price. Pity that Stan didn't say where he got it.

You're right Stan, they are training ampoules, saline filled in case you accidentally break the skin with them but I doubt they are sterile anymore as there seems to have been some evaporation. More for training the casualty and medic on actually poking the victim. My guess is that they were issued fresh for training a long time ago, and instead of poking each other they were secreted away while appropriately nodding and grimacing to the Warrant officer or LT doing the training. Never went back to get them out.

What's all the hoopla? Some poor __________ took out a membership in the CPSU in the hope of getting ahead, or because his brain was more easily washed than some others.

    RIP you poor sucker.

As for those who have grown up in freedom, but are trying to destroy it, they don't even have the defence of ignorance - if it is any defence.

It would be interesting to know what military service is recorded in the book which is very difficult to get an understanding of when you don't understand Russianicon and no-one has yet published a full translation. One can deduce that some of books cover the WW2 period, obviously, if the party member was born before WW2. I do know that with Russian if there is a number with an "R", often it signifies a date.
