Israeli 98 Mauser 7.62 x 51 sight issue

Question: Did the 7.92 x 57 to 7.62 x 51 conversion also modify the rear sight for the 7.62 x 51 M80 147gr ball cartridge? be appreciated.

Front sight not correct. Install correct height and shooting high goes away. Had the same problem with my Israeli K98 7,62.
