Help identifying a Carcano

Let me start by saying that I know next to nothing about these particular rifles and I am new to this forum. I purchased this rifle recently on an impulse and I am having a doozy of a time trying to identify it. I can tell that it has been chopped but deciphering the markings is proving to be difficult for me. I attached pictures of any markings that I have found on the gun. If you need to know any other information that I may have left out please let me know. Thank you!

Thanks for the replies. I skimmed through and didn’t see the Italian forum, sorry. Does anyone happen to know what caliber? I didn’t see any markings where it supposedly would be.

I have had a M38 carbine with the folding bayonet for years and love it . Get yourself some ammo and get to the range ASAP!! Some folks give them a bad rap but everyone I know who have a Carcano say there plenty accurate and don't beat you up like some larger caliber rifles . After 3 shoulder surgeries in my life that 6.5 is a pleasure plus add in the history behind their pretty cool to .

I’m not gonna lie, I have a plenty of other modern and older bolt actions and this one is the absolute clunkiest I have ever used. Not smooth at all. I am super excited to shoot it but it’s kinda difficult to source ammo that isn’t bulk or $1+/round.

It is the remains of a Roma m91 long rifle . It should be in 6.5mm Carcano .

Thanks! Was thinking that it probably was but was skeptical due to the lack of markings on the rifle.

.268, not .264. You can shoot .264 if you want. Will not be very accurate, but it is shootable.
And safer...

Being this is a cut down m91 rifle with gain twist rifling, it's doubtful it will shoot well. My unbubbaed M91 rifles shoot phenomenally well with correct ammo. The Carcano is an underappreciated rifle.
