CMP south store vs. north store

I am curious as to which store usually has a better selection of Garands. Or are they both about the same? Thank you.

I have been to both but I found the South Store had the better inventory when I was there. In all fairness, it has been a while since I visted the North Store. The South store is set up well and I enjoyed the time I spent there.

I have been to the North Store 25 plus times. The selection varies from day to day and week to week. I never been to the South Store but from the information I've received the South Store probably gets a better selection then the North Store.

I don't think the North Store is any worse off for inventory than the South as they share from the same inventory stocks. It probably takes longer to restock the North Store than the South, but there are likely precautions taken to prevent any undue bias toward one store or the other.

I haven't been north since the new South Store opened simply because it is a 234 mile trip to Anniston and more than 600 to Port Clinton for me. The South Store was new and I got in the habit of going there and I liked the selection of near-new and unfired Corrects in Anniston and the availability of ammo with no shipping charges. So, I stopped going, but would doubt there are any reasons to avoid one in favor of the other except driving time.

Both staffs are friendly and competent and more than willing to help the buyer. I might take in the North Store again now that I am retired and I really like the area and the islands in the Great Lakes.

Good place to go and enjoy in either case!

The store you don't visit will have the better selection just like the line you choose will be the slowest. We can all thank Mr. Murphy.

LOL. Sort of like the observer effect in physics; by choosing a store, you automatically reduce the inventory there.

I was at Perry last August. I was in the North Store the day before a truck from Anniston arrived. I got into the store early the following morning and they had filled up the racks that night. Huge selection of nice H&R Garands. I bought 5 for our club. Nice when you time it right.

If the North Store is stocked... it's my favorite. The South Store has alot to offer, and if they only have a "few" of a specific item, it will be found at the South Store. The ultimate time to visit the North Store is during the National Matches! The folks at CMPicon really go all out to provide a great selection.
