filler in black powder revolvers

How in the world did you discover Nivea cream works for this? I forget what I used the last time but I had a heck of a time getting it. I imagine this in a tin would be very nice to take to the range.

Some years ago there was a report on percussion revolvers in a German shooting magazine and they recommended a skin cream from Aldi, same as Nivea and half the price. I've tried all kinds of things including bees wax thinned with vegetable oil, but I reckon the skin cream is the best. As for filler I use either felt or coffee grounds, dirt cheap, easy to measure and environmentally friendly.
