Mauser C96 Broomhandle additional and unusual markings

Hi folks,
I am trying to track down these stamps.... (new user here, and I cant see where to attach pics, but I will look again after posting this)

I first thought these numbers were stock serial numbers from John Rigby & Co, but that's not the case.
Now I think they might be from a 'Jaeger Regiment' quartermaster, but no idea other than that.

Any thoughts out there.... or has someone got a C96 with similar markings?
