Documented Type I National Match Garand

I have been stewing over this rifle for several months and I finally pulled the trigger on her. I had to sell a couple other garands to pay for her but I think it was worth it. Shes a minty 1959 Type I NM garand with documentation.
Before anyone asks, no I will not shoot her, I have plenty of other accurate garands to take to the range

Are the pictures viewing sideways for everyone? I posted pics on another forum and they are right side up? Not sure what is going on

A beauty. A general rule of thumb is to sell something you can replace when you find a rarity that would be hard to duplicate.

You made a good trade, that is a great looking NM. It will be harder to find it's equal than to replace a regular rifle.

Nice when you get the papers too

But it looks like a Type II. Wood gave it away in the first photo. Type I's have the most incredible wood on any M1icon. Still, beauty of a rifle. I know you and Seijasicon are safe queen fans that will never put a round thru the likes of her. I would have to fire her.....and it would bother me if I didn't. I like to fire M1's. M
