    Wundhammer Restoration Completed!

I would like to thank the following people without whose help this would have been impossible.

Gary Bush: For alerting me to the stock and for supplying the Lyman 48 long-slide as well as the bolt.

Don Wooldridge: For supplying the proper NRA sales rifle.

Barry DeLong: For supplying the Ross Barrel band sling swivel.

John Beardicon: For making sure I had all the proper parts for the rifle.

John Wills: For help turning the rifle between centers to bevel the front of the receiver, contouring the barrel, making the barrel bushing for the threaded front and for grinding the tang.

Jim White: For checkering the panel on the underside of the bolt.

Monte Mandarino: For repairing the stock and blueing the barreled action.

Simply fantastic, Michael - I think I like the pictures you took almost as much as the rifle itself!!

Michael Petrov has an excellent book in print entitled, Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century. A great book for anyone interested in some of the "claasic" gunmakers and the M1903s they modified. Highly recommended!!

Michael, ~~ Great > Great Work

I am so happy for that rifle to have been resurrected into a "Work Of Art".

Beautiful ~ Beautiful, as I knew it would be.

I have a "project", also, with some help from Gary Bush for the barrel & bolt, that has yet to be on schedule ~ hopefully this summer.

    Don:

What's the story behind your barrel? I don't think it's quite right for a T, but it is long enough...........

    I sent you a PM...................

I was referring to Don's receiver. Your barrel looks perfect.
