Stripped lowers for 250 a pop? No, you did not miss a good deal. www.adcofirearms.com sells them for 170 plus 4 to ship. Yes, they're backordered, but the wait isn't long. H.

I bought a US Property marked RRA lower a cpl yrs ago and made it into a faux XM177E2. Paid alot less than that. FWIW-get the RRA match trigger when you buy a lower it comes almost standard now. And if you decide to buy the "US marked" lower be prepared to ask yourself every time you take it out: "Why the hell did i do that?" http://www.ar15sales.com/rra2.htm

At that price, even these days with the gouging going on, these could NOT have been stripped lowers!

I've dealt with Pete at AR15sales before and my experience was, well, let me just say that ADCO's service, professionalism and experience are second to none. Plus Steve actually is a highpower rifle competitor.

It is not gouging. It is the price for a " buy it now take it now" AR-15 lower.
There is a bubble in AR-15s, M14/M1Aicon, and other mag fed semi-autos inflated by worries of an AWB. There will be orders unable to be filled if and when any restrictions are enacted. If you had 100 stripped lowers in your hand, you would not sell them for $100 each either, and neither will the retalers. You can buy a lot cheaper, but you will have to wait in line. That is the difference.
The demand has even increased the prices on items that cannot be delivered. These prices are and will always be what the market will bear no matter what the product is. It is the law of supply (availability) and demand.
The manufacturers cannot make them to outpace the demand. If they could they would do so at the risk of loosing the investment in higher production, and the surplus. Try to buy a lower and insist that it be delivered next day air. You wont get it for $125.

Read a little more carefully. Anybody with a brain and a heartbeat already knows about supply and demand. Never SAID you'd get 'em for 125 shipped. Said that they could not sell stripped lowers for 499 bucks. Don't care if they're gold plated.
There's a RRA stripped AR15 lower on THIS VERY SITE, for sale by a helluva good guy, right now, sitting there for 170 bucks.
Call it what you want. I call it gouging when some guy is asking here if 499 bones is a good deal for a lower. I merely asked if it was stripped. If it was its INSANE gouging. H.

Jeeez! My Essential Arms stripped lower only cost $113 w/ tax back in january 2008. I'd look elsewhere, or wait, or get a CMPicon Garandicon (or 2 or 3!).....
