    Spetsnaz Boots

So I was reading an article a while back about how Russianicon Spetsnaz use boots that appear to have pointed ends on front and back (or double toed so to speak) of the boots to confuse people tracking them as to what direction their tracks lead. Anyone know what these boots are called?

Such sole patterns are quite common, however, the tracks are easy to follow as the direction of travel isn't from the sole of the shoe/boot, but the indents in the ground. Also, as soon as you see the sole pattern you immediately know who made them and how to follow them.

Is there a name for that particular tread pattern?

I did a little bit of research and they do seem to have an extensive array of different boots available to them. I've found a few websites that sell their standard issue gear as well.

It's tempting to make up one's own name for that type of footwear.

For special forces anything is possible.

I would think they would have a sheet with the different sole patterns, numbered, and just work from that. Draw the specific boots from the store and off you go.
