I believe the flaming bomb to be the U.S. marking and the #1 on the bolt head indicates the size of the bolt head. If I'm not mistaken #1 indicates new or near new chamber tolerance and as they progress in numbers its to adjust for chamber wear. It's bee a long time since I heard that and can't be totally sure, but, you came to the right sight for the information, HTH-SDH

Enfields, when new, could be fitted with any of 5 different bolt heads sized 0,1,2,3 or 4.

I've never seen a No.4 head so it must be really rare.

It doesn't have to do with wear, as a brand new rifle could be fitted with a No.3 bolt head. It's how rifles were headspaced at the factory. If a rifle ever became out of spec, the armorer could easily increase or decrease headspace in the field by swapping in the appropriate sized part.

From the flaming bomb marking, we can deduce your bolt head was made by Savage.

The bolt body was probably made or rebuilt at Fazakerley as the F/53 stamp is a faz inspection punch.
