    A Tale of Two Bayonets

This is my first post, so please go easy on me. I have an original Pattern 53 musket that I want to fit a correct imported 1853 Enfield Confederate bayonet to. I have two candidates and am wondering which if either would be "most correct" for one that may have been imported by the Confederacy during the Civil War. I have included some pictures of them.

Thanks in advance for the help, Tony.

The Salter and Company (Bayonet A)

The Preston, Manchester (Bayonet B) (No Britishicon Inspector marks)

Either would be fine. If I had both, I would probably use the Preston.

That's what I was thinking as well, the Preston's in better condition and I think it's a bit rarer than the Salter. Thanks for the help, Tony
