Now, I am assuming he will install it, but if not why even bot'ser with a fake?
del, The person from the P & R Club I had bought it from told me that the T1 Sight was Not Original and it was Not a tight fit either so the night before I applied oil and also used some grease with a shaved q-tip and got to use my 2nd Sight installer and removal tool and it slid right off and when I installed the this one Sight it went on without any problems. but like you mentioned though I was nervous as heck but i just took my time doing it and didn't do any damaged to it. That is one area if I feel it's TOO tight I would take it to the The Club and have them fix it,

Charlie, That Barrel Band looks exactly like the one on my Iver Johnson M1icon Double A Series in the S/N. If you look closely you can see that someone tried to mark it. If you need close up pics I will take more and Post them.

I also wanted to know if you or Anyone knows a person that can repair it. This one needs more work than I know. There's No Cracks on it but I think it can be repaired. I just came across this Commerative Stocks and No It will NOT go on my Early Iver because these came way after my S/N but thinking if someone is looking for one I also have a Another Blued Ventilated Hand Guard which are harder to find but you can find Matte Black one's. If anyone knows where to find a New Blued Ones Please let me know. I was also thinking of adding it to the Sell of my Iver Johnson M1 Carbine.

Northridge was the place that I picked up that T1 Flipper.

    Frank,
I don't know the value of that stock or if the repair cost would be worth it, but here's FrankD's profile link you could PM or Email him and ask:
    https://www.milsurps.com/member.php?u=6309

    Just a quick thought...
I wonder if you could use a sand able Epoxy and fill the damage.
Then buy some of the thin Veneer in a Maple (?) or similar grain and glue and wrap it ??
I know those veneers can be rolled around round parts like hand rail posts or arm chair spindles.
Some come with a adhesive backing, some without. But I have seen repairs done with them on newly constructed home trim and on furniture.

I've used a Epoxy called Quickwood on ceiling beams and cathedral plank ceilings when things like fire detectors or electrical / speaker wires were moved. But these were up where no one would contact them so I don't know how durable. Plus after leveling they had to be wood grained with a wood grain comb, then sanded, grain simulated with Gel stains and clear coated.

You could Google it, I'm sure there are Videos on both using the patching veneers and Epoxies like Quickwood.

    'Quickwood'
    Boy that brings back memories

    Good Luck,

Charlie, I think I can go that route... Using a Filler then let it harden, then shape it. I will just look on YouTube and watch someone do it and lookup some products like you mentioned and give it shot. Thank You

I was watching that one, too. Thought it might not go above the $99 it was at earlier this afternoon. Even though it had good markings, it just looked like it had been tampered with too much. The same seller has an Inland leaf (only) starting at $30 or offer.

Here's older pics of the sight on a friend's NPM,. It has a "messed-up" S but otherwise no markings. Could've been stamped by the same guy that did that one with the S upside down!

To me, this is the way a real one ought to look. - Bob

Bob, For the same reason you mentioned or misunderstood I had thought it was tampered TOO much in Places you don't see that much at all, but maybe I was wrong. I got a Great Offer for mine and I thought it was enough at least to add something to it instead of nothing since he's a really good friend and I had already told him it was something and better than nothing, but he had seen the 2 Original ones I had awhile back before selling one of them on eBay for a really great Price. I have one more Original T1 NPM Flip Sight in one of my boxes that I have somewhere, but I have seem to have misplaced it while I was moving. I'm sure it will pop up and I will definitely send it to him.

Haven't seen one with the S on top of the pin before. It's neat.

My sig: Consider adding IP/S'G's to my registry. I've found 3 sets of consecutives & WILL immediately inform you of one if you won't cut my throat like someone else did, I do it to help us both. https://grandrapids.wufoo.com/forms/zzlnt0519k86xs/
