Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Looks like somebody got carried away with their Christmas present stamp set to me......

Nice set of timber otherwise. The HM Co Ltd & possibly the broad arrow are original, the rest is after market!

Its a 'sniper' so its got to have S51 & TR somewhere.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

No doubt Roger but it will serve my need and as wood goes today any port in a storm. I would never make a pretense it was anything else but a usable set.

A little dark stain a band or two and I might have a shooter. And I do have that scrubbed Indian T with poorly matched wood that could use some TLC in the looks department.

Also it was almost gift when I see the cost of beat up stock sets today.
