Barrel identification

I’ve just got this barreled action as part of a deal and was hoping one of you Enfield geniuses could identify it for me. I’m assuming it’s just a cut down special (516mm) but it’s the exact same length as my martini Enfield artillery Carbine barrel, has the same front sight and the same ec88 marked 2000yard rear sight. Just hoping someone can shed some light on it if it’s not just someone with a hacksaw and some busy hands?? Looks like a 1908 date on the right hand side of barrel. Couple of pics of the muzzle end, looks like the original finish so if it’s a cut down hack job it must have been a while ago. Its a bit short for an LEC barrel I think at 516mm, any idea's??

this is the receiver markings, It’s not an LEC receiver most of these rifles got pulled completely apart and then put together as mismatches for the school cadet forces to use in New Zealand so that’s why I’m expecting it to be just a cut down barrel with new sights glued on

"...Enfield artillery Carbine..." No such thing. The SMLE was made to replace having a different rifle for Infantry and Cavalry.
May not be Bubba's hack saw, but it's Bubba nonetheless. The broad arrows pointing at each other is a "Sold out of service.' stamp.
The 20.3"/516mm and rusted inside says that too. I suspect in may have been professionally done though. Bubba usually doesn't crown his barrels.

Martini Enfield artillery Carbine?? I’m pretty sure they exist as I have one in the cupboard

I guess it’s correct designation is something like martini Henry artillery Carbine converted to Enfield 303 I guess haha, but I’m getting off topic in my own thread!! So I thinking this is just a cut down mle barrel as I suspected. Can still use it for an LEC Carbine restoration, it’s go reproduction wood already and I don’t have a proper Carbine barrel yet.
