    Talking odd 1903 Springfields

Attached are two Springfield model 1903 rifles. The un scoped rifle is an "Issued" 1903 A1. It is not a WW II re-build, very, very few were actually issued in a true A1 stock that has not been cut out for the A3 sight, It is marked with the SA/SPG cartuche and a single circle P. The other is a sniper reject N.M. rifle taken directly from the Un-Serviceable rack at an American proving facility. It has a G/H mounting system and a Zeiss drilling scope. I actually talked with the man that acquired the rifle as well as the man who mounted the scope system for the proving group.-SDH
